Illuminations
High Point’s shining lights
BY THOMAS LESTER
High Point Market returned last month, bringing with it scores of lighting introductions to entice retail buyers and
interior designers. Here are a few highlights from the showrooms.
Multi-drop lighting fixtures from Currey & Company are
available in multiple arrangements and styles with fully
customizable heights.
The white cotton shade on Surya’s Holloman chandelier
is wrapped in an array of rust-colored metal wires.
Pacific Coast Lighting’s Rodin lamp features a reflective,
teardrop-shaped body beneath a white shade. Officials
said it showed and sold well at market.
A pair of clear butterflies graces the ovoid body of
Regina Andrew’s Monarch table lamp. The collection
also includes sconces and floor lamps.
Crystorama marked its return to High Point with this
eye-catching display that included the Poppy, Rylee and
Capri fixtures, among others.
The Shift sconce from KingsHaven places a reflective
orb in the middle of the starburst pattern in its exotic
wood shade.
Hubbardton Forge’s Sling pendant uses thousands of
etchings to draw LED light from its steel channel into its
swooping acrylic sculpture.
From ELK’s Dimond Lighting brand, the Orbital 10-light
features nine marbled glass spheres orbiting a white
glass “sun.”
Hudson Valley Lighting’s Dunkirk chandelier creates
an oversized sunburst effect with a multitude of crystal
spheres emanating from its aged brass frame.
